About BRImpact

The BRImpact project was launched in 2019. It associates the French Research Institute on East Asia, IFRAE (FRE 2025, Inalco-University of Paris-CNRS), the Center for Research on the Iranian World (CeRMI, UMR 8041) and the project team “Asian Dynamics, Interactions, and Interculturalities (D2IA)” of the University of Bordeaux Montaigne. Its coordinator is Sébastien Colin, Associate Professor in Geography at the Chinese Studies Department of Inalco, Researcher at IFRAE and Scientific Coordinator of the European Institute for Chinese Studies (EURICS).

The BRImpact project is composed of a multidisciplinary team of 16 researchers who are members or associated with one of the three aforementioned research teams. This team brings together geographers, economists and political scientists specializing on China, South Asia, Central Asia, Russia, Turkey, Europe and Africa.
